On behalf of the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Diamond Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors, we would like to thank you for visiting our foundation website. The Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Diamond Foundation, Inc. is the philanthropic arm of the Bowie-Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
The Foundation was Established in 2006 as a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 (c) (3) organization located in Prince George’s County Maryland. The overarching purpose of the BMDF is to support the community through various fundraising efforts, grants, and service initiatives. These major efforts will directly support scholarships advancing the education and career training of our local communities with special focus on our under represented, disadvantaged African American youth.
The BMDF continues tradition, maintaining a scholarship fund for graduating Prince Georges County resident seniors, enrolling in vocational ,two-year, and four-year colleges and universities.
The scholarship funds are to be used for tuition, books, and room/board. Over the past 8 years the Foundation has awarded over 50 students with $500.00 - $1,000 scholarships.
GOAL: Increase our direct support for well deserving in coming college freshman and graduating seniors embarking on their vocational journeys.
Our youth are our future. Donations to the BMDF will be used to positively influence their career paths. Your support and charitable contributions can be made directly to the Bowie Mitchellville Diamond Foundation in multiple ways:
